Pay Me to Move!

The house I’m currently staying in is trapped between rich people. On my left is Mr Edward. On my right is his brother-in-law (wife’s brother (inferiority of English to Chinese)). On the right of his brother-in-law, is another brother-in-law.

Being the malcolm in the middle, Mr Edward has been offering to buy our house at 350,000 MYR (if not mistaken).

Nonsense! That’s too little. It’s not like we’re in great need for money. Of course my dad turned down the offer by cracking a joke saying that we will have no place to stay.

I then asked my mother if she is willing to sell it. Of course she was not willing to. My next question came, “At what price are you willing to sell the house?” My mum’s immediate respond was “Impossible!”

I didn’t stop there of course. I tried my mum by asking her, “A million? Two million?” She kept repeating, “Impossible, impossible!” Oh well…

Few months later, Mr Edward offered my dad 400,000 MYR this time. My dad turned him down by chuckling this time.

I then asked my dad the same sets of questions. He said if it’s 600,000 or 700,000 MYR and he’s able to find a bigger house in Subang Jaya or so, why not?

Oh yes! That’s logical! Of course Mr Edward has to offer us a higher price since he’s requesting us to leave and it must worth all the troubles of moving to another place. But yea, if with the money I can get a bigger house and perhaps even have extra money to spend, why not?

A good illustration of how logical boys are and how emotional girls are…up till 2 million MYR.

=P simply put, there's also the hassle in relocation, and adjusting to life there. Things that don't show up on the bill la xD

About what I'm doing here, I remembered about your stance about extraterrestrial life - there's a book with the same stance as you. You can read up a small review about it here: http://www.newscientist.com/blogs/culturelab/2011/12/earth-lifes-only-home.html

All the best with your journeys, and God bless! =D
